Men's Ministry

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

Looking at the character of Barnabas found in Acts 4:36-37, we seek to be men who encourage one another in their walk with the Lord and in being all He created us to be.  This is accomplished through the study of God's word and fellowship. (Matthew 16:24-26)
Barnabas was also seen in the priestly line of the Levite in Acts 4:36b. We as men seek to live out the calling on our lives as priest (1 Peter 2:9) and spiritual leaders in our homes, (Eph 5:23) living lives surrendered to the
 Lordship of Christ.
Barnabas sold the land he should have owned as a Levite (Acts 2:37a), we encourage one another to let go of and remove anything that keeps us from a deeper relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. (1 John 2:16)
Lastly, as Barnabas blessed the church by gifting the profit from the land, (Acts 2:37b) we seek to encourage one another in growing in the unique gifting of the Holy Spirit in each of our lives. (1 Corith. 12)
